Why Shared Bikes and Scooters?
Shared bikes and scooters (also known as shared mobility or micromobility) can be a great sustainable way to travel around West Sacramento. By providing additional mobility options, residents and visitors have more choices than ever in how they get around. Plus, choosing an e-bike or e-scooter is fun, affordable, and better for the environment than driving!
Who Owns and Operates the shared scooters and bikes?
The City of West Sacramento does not own or operate shared scooters or bicycle programs. They are owned and operated by private vendors that have obtained a permit from the City to operate. As of January 2024, there are two operators in West Sacramento: Lime and Bird, who are permitted to operate scooters and e-bicycles.
